I cried so hard my eyes hurt. Can not sleep! This is the menopause or depression?

My mother is 48, I am worried that she suffers from depression. My father was a career experience of the future changes will affect the entire family finance and she is very dissatisfied. My 15-year-old brother, recently hospitalized for depression. Although he is currently living at home and drugs, he often acts of misconduct, I am concerned, she felt like she had no control. About two weeks ago, my grandmother suffered a stroke which has been terrible against the pressure of the whole family, especially my mother. She also lost her best friend, last year more than one point. I am afraid, she has something she needs to talk about, and no one to talk about these things a lot. Is she going through menopause? Please help me.
